EU slightly increased the TRQ on Ukrainian grain in 2017

In frame of tariff regulations, European Comission grain comittee have slightly increased level of limiting tariff-rate quotas (the so-called “first-come first-served” method) on imports of Ukrainian grain to the EU in 2017.

This was reported on the website of “GrainTradeUA” grain exchange in Ukraine.

According to the report, the quota for wheat deliveries has increased from 950 KTM in 2016 to 960 KTM in 2017. Barley and maize import quotas have been increased to 270 KTM and 450 KTM respectively. Last year quotas were 250 KTM and 400 KTM respectively.

Notably, that as of January 19, 2017, Ukraine has exported 570.3 KTM of wheat to the EU and thus used 59.4% of its appropriate wheat quota; barley has been shipped in share of 2.2% of the appropriate quota (6 KTM) and corn fulfilled 100% of the quota, which corresponds to 450 KTM.
