Ukraine doubled its exports of sugar in February 2017

At the end of February 2017, Ukraine exported 113.2 KMT of sugar, which is two times more compared to the previous month.

It is reported by Ukrtsukor association.

According to the report, in February of this year, the biggest Ukrainian sugar shipments were carried out to Côte d “Ivoire – 19.3 KMT, Libya – 18.7 KMT and Mauritania – 16.5 KMT.

“As in the previous months, the Ukrainian sugar goes to Sri Lanka and Myanmar – in February it was 13.7 and 6 KMT, respectively. Also, manufacturers are actively exploring the new markets and already the Ukrainian manufacturers attempted to export sugar to Côte d “Ivoire. In total, for six months of the current marketing year, Ukraine exported 522.9 KMT of sugar, which has already exceeded our previous expectations of 500 KMT”, – said Ruslan Butylo, the head of analytical department of Ukrtsukor.

Worth mentioning that at the end of 2016, Ukrainian producers exported record 442.7 KMT of sugar worth $ 215.9 million – the highest result since the indecency of Ukraine.
