As of March 13, Ukrainian farmers have already sowed 31 thousand ha of land with grain crops or 1% of the forecast (2402 thousand ha).
It has been reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
According to the report, the spring sowing campaign has already begun in 7 regions of Ukraine.
In particular, as of the reporting date, the agrarians have planted 1 thousand ha of spring wheat or 1% of the forecast (190 thousand ha), 18 thousand ha of spring barley or 1% of the forecast (1,728 thousand ha), oats – 2 thousand ha or 1% of the forecast (208 thousand ha), peas – 11 thousand ha or 4% of the forecast (276 thousand ha).
In addition, the introduction of nutrients still continues. Winter grain crops have been already fertilized on the area of 2.5 million ha or 36% of the forecast (7 million ha), winter rape has been fertilized on the area of 429 thousand ha or 49% of the forecast (876 thousand ha).
It is noted that the largest areas of fertilized winter cereals have been located in Odessa – 505.8 thousand ha (67% of the forecast), Kherson – 304.6 thousand ha (56%), Mykolaiv -294.7 thousand ha (49%) and Khmelnitsky – 180.1 thousand ha (78%) regions.
