According to ProAgro, in February 2017 Ukrainian exporters supplied 23% less grain, legumes and flour to foreign markets than in the previous month.
At the same time, in comparison with the results of similar periods of the previous marketing year, the volumes of export shipments of major grain and leguminous crops continue to show a noticeable increase.
So, from the beginning of MY 2016/17, foreign markets were supplied with 14.5% more of Ukrainian wheat than in the same period last season. Asia continues to be the main export direction and the total purchases from India and Thailand account for almost a third of Ukrainian exports in this segment.
The largest exporters in the reporting period were: Kernel, Nibulon and Cargill. At the same time, it should be noted that there is no clear leader in this field and concentration on key exporting companies is quite low.

The volume of barley exports since the beginning of MY 2016/17 significantly exceed the result of the corresponding months of the previous marketing year (+ 18%).
The main vector of export supplies of Ukrainian barley is the Middle East and Africa. The total volume of shipments in the direction of Saudi Arabia and Libya and accounts for more than 60% of the total volume of Ukrainian exports of such product. The largest exporters in this segment, whose market share exceed 10%, were Granum Invest and Nibulon.

Export of peas in the new season demonstrates good growth rates and in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous marketing year showed an increase of 84%. The bulk of shipments were sent to India, as well as neighboring Pakistan (a little less than 57% in total). Agro-Export Group and Synthesis Group & K are the largest exporters so far.

External shipments of corn also show a significant increase in the current season – + 7% compared to the corresponding figures of the previous marketing year. The main export direction of Ukrainian corn, along with the countries of the Middle East, remains EU. In total, about 35% of Ukrainian corn exports go to European countries.
