Ukrainian farmers are provided with fertilizers by 108% (as of 19th of April)
As of April 19, 2017 agricultural companies purchased 1 MMT of mineral fertilizers, which is 108% of the needed amount.
This is reported by ProAgro with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, as of the reporting date, Ukrainian farmers purchased 743 KMT of nitrogen fertilizers, which is 110% of the demand, 165 KMT of phosphate (106% of the demand) and 129 KMT of potassium fertilizers (101% of the demand).
"Most regions of Ukraine are fully provided with fertilizers up to the declared requirements (98-100%).Overall, all regions completed the early spring fertilization of winter crops with nitrogen fertilizers. As of April 17, farms completely carried out additional winter crops fertilization on an area of 7.2 million ha", - says the director of the Department of Agriculture and Technical Policy of Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vladimir Topchiy.
According to him, since the beginning of spring field work, the farms of all regions have contributed 594 KMT of nutrients or almost 69 KMT more than last year.
In total, during the spring-summer field works of 2017 it is planned to use about 958 KMT of mineral fertilizers, including: 676 KMT of nitrogen, 156 KMT of phosphorus, 127 KMT of potassium.
