In April 2017, Ukraine exported oil worth of $440 million| ProAgro
In April 2017, Ukraine exported 590 KMT of vegetable oil worth $440 million, including 574 KMT of sunflower oil worth $427 million.
It has been reported by the Ukroliyaprom association.
According to the report, in April of this year Ukraine also exported 506 KMT of protein meals worth $90 million. In April, the main types of fat and oil products were exported in amount of $530 million, which is 15% of the total volume of exports from Ukraine.
It is noted that according to the results of September-April MY 2016/17, increase of exports of sunflower oil from Ukraine is 130.3% against the corresponding period of the previous marketing year.
In total, during the reporting period, the main types of products of the fat and oil industry of Ukraine were exported to the amount of more than $ 3.7 billion (approximately 30% of the total export of agricultural products of Ukraine).
Export of the main types of oil-yielding crops of 2016 harvest as of May 1, 2017 amounted to 3.7 MMT and worth more than $1.5 billion.
Also it is noted that in the current marketing year, the mass export of rapeseed from Ukraine continues (as of May 1, 2017, 1.016 MMT or 92.4% of gross harvest was exported), resulting in a halving of production and export of rapeseed oil.
The export of soybeans is growing as well - 105.3% compared to September-April of the previous marketing year. Exports of 2.6 MMT or 60% of gross harvest.
Export of sunflower seeds has grown up to 177 KMT, but this is not insignificant volume - 1.3% of its gross harvest.
In addition, the export of margarine products is growing, which exceeds its imports to Ukraine by 5.9 times (in physical terms) and 3.5 times (in value terms) in the current marketing year.
