From the beginning of MY 2016/17, Ukraine exported a record 39.14 MMT of grain

From the beginning of MY 2016/17 and as of May 17, Ukraine exported a record 39.14 MMT of grain, which is by 120 KMT more than for the whole MY 2015/2016 .

This is reported by ProAgro with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to the report, Ukrainian farmers managed to achieve this result by increasing the export of barley, which was supplied to foreign markets in the amount of 5.14 MMT. For the entire past marketing period of this culture, 4.4 MMT were exported.

Also, as of May 17, 2017, Ukraine exported:

Wheat - 16.28 MMT;
Rye - 4 KMT;
Corn - 17.5 MMT.
It worth to mention that in January-April 2017, Ukraine exported 14.428 MMT of grain crops worth of around $2 billion.
