For 19 days of 2022 Ukrainian railroads transported more than 2 million tons of grain, and it is much more than during the same period last year.
This was discussed during the online meeting of the JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” with grain farmers on January 20, says “ProAgro Group”, referring to Rail.insider.
The indicators of grain transportation by rail exceed the results of the same period last year by 74%, or 909 thousand tons.
The average daily load makes 112 thousand tons. The total turnover of grain cars, according to UZ, is 12.3 days. And only every fourth car involved in transportation is the property of the state company.
Recall, according to current data, in 2021 33.67 million tons of grain cargo was transported by rail in Ukraine, which is 1.5 million tons (or 4.3%) less than in 2020.
