Turkey will try to “strengthen” the Black Sea grain deal

Turkish President Recep Erdogan said that on Sunday, December 11, he plans to talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The topic of the talks, according to him, will be strengthening the Black Sea grain agreement, which is supported by the UN.

According to Reuters, Erdogan spoke at a conference in Istanbul, which is called “Shapes of the future: uncertainty, realities and opportunities”. At the same event, which will last two days, on December 9 and 10, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke via video link.

As reported, the “grain initiative” for the transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products by sea, which was launched on August 1 and was initially supposed to last 120 days, was extended for another four-month period on November 17.
