The Ministry of Agrarian Policy has started to develop a methodology for determining the damage and losses from the loss of the land fund, which was caused to Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky, “ProAgro Group” reports.
According to him, while calculating the damage and losses, expenses on land reclamation, losses of owners (land users) of agricultural land, expenses on restoration of reclamation areas, expenses on de-mining and the like will be taken into account.
“A large part of land, in particular agricultural land with reclamation infrastructure, has suffered significant damage, and their owners and users have suffered losses. This should all be compensated in full, including not only actual losses, but also lost profits. To develop other indicators and methods, we plan to attract the best experts with international experience”, – said Mykola Solsky.
