The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution, according to which 420 million UAH is allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget to the State Emergency Service for the purchase of up to 50 thousand tons of wheat from the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine to provide humanitarian aid to Ethiopia and Somalia. This was reported by the “ProAgro Group” with reference to the text of the resolution.
In turn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to agree with the UN and the competent authorities of Ethiopia and Somalia on the delivery and payment for the transportation of grain from the Odesa Commercial Sea Port at the expense of international organizations.
The State Customs Service is to ensure prompt customs clearance, and the Border Guard Service is to exercise priority control when the humanitarian aid cargo crosses the state border.
