Agrarians received more than a billion dollars in affordable loans

Agrarians have received more than 1 billion dollars within the framework of the program “Affordable credits 5-7-9%”. This was stated by the Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko during a meeting with representatives of Polish and Ukrainian investors on the investment climate in Ukraine in 2021 and plans for 2022.

“ProAgro Group” reports this with reference to “Ukrinform”.

“We launched a very powerful program 5-7-9, which allocated more than a billion dollars of cheap loans for Ukrainian farmers to upgrade the main production assets, to invest,” Leshchenko said.

As of October 25, 2021 the authorized banks from the moment of start of the program “Affordable credits 5-7-9%” gave the representatives of micro, small and medium enterprises the credits for the total sum of UAH 66,9 billion, last week they gave UAH 0,71 billion of this sum.

The governmental program “Affordable credits 5-7-9%” was launched on February 1, 2020. The granting of one of three possible loan rates under this program depends on the size of the borrower’s business and the duration of his activities. Last April the Cabinet of Ministers expanded the program “Affordable loans 5-7-9%” for businesses with annual revenues of UAH 100 million, while previously the amount was limited to UAH 50 million. Also, the government increased the maximum loan amount under the program from 2 million to 3 million UAH.
