Agrotrade Group started the harvesting campaign in Kharkiv region with the harvesting of winter barley, the yield of which is 65.9 centners per hectare, while the planned yield was 50 centners. This is reported by “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the company.
Agrotrade notes that the start of reaping of winter rape in Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions was delayed by rains, but the company hopes that the weather will allow machines to go to the field at the end of this week.
“On the whole, we expect a good harvest for all winter crops. Even in spite of the war, we managed to apply fertilizers, protection means and perform quality care in time,” assured Olexksandr Ovsyanik, director of Agrotrade’s agro-industrial department.
The company also plans to begin harvesting winter wheat in Sumy region at the end of the week. The planned yield of this crop is more than 50 tons per hectare.
In total, Agrotrade has sown winter crops on about 26 thousand hectares. It is planned to finish the harvesting by August 20.
