“Service Grain” elevator is being restored after the missile strike

After the missile strike on the elevator “Service Grain” in Artsyz, Odesa region, which destroyed and damaged 5 silos and a wagon receiving unit, etc. the enterprise is being restored, while continuing to work and provide services.

This was told by the director of the elevator Yevhen Sereda, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to AgroTimes.

“Now we have managed to restore one silo and a railway junction for acceptance and shipment to wagons. We hope that by the end of November we will put all silos into operation,” the head said.

Given the fact that this year Bessarabia could not boast of harvests, the elevator provides services to farmers, traders from those areas where there are harvests. The relevance of the elevator’s services as a storage and transshipment point appeared immediately after the aggravation of the war with Russia.

“We used to receive grain from the northern and central regions, which we processed and sent by rail to the seaports until the blockade took place. Then we reoriented to the river ports of Reni and Izmail. And when the bridge across the Dniester estuary was destroyed – the only railway route across the Dniester River from the main part of Ukraine to the south of Bessarabia – suppliers switched to road logistics,” Yevhen Sereda continued.
