According to the operational information on the progress of plant protection work provided by the Main Departments of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the regions as of November 3, 2022, work continues on the protection of crops in farms of all forms of ownership.
According to “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 98.3 thousand hectares of agricultural land have been treated against rodents, including
winter cereals – 33.5 thousand hectares;
winter rape – 61.3 thousand hectares;
perennial grasses – 2.3 thousand hectares;
other – 1.2 thousand hectares.
82 thousand hectares have been treated with chemical methods against rodents, 16.3 thousand hectares – with biological methods.
Since the beginning of this year, crop protection has been carried out on an area of 36.5 million hectares, of which more than 900 thousand hectares have been treated with biological methods of plant protection.
The most treated areas are in Odesa, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Poltava, Ternopil and Zhytomyr regions.
For the whole complex of plant protection measures against pests, more than 32 thousand preparations have been used since the beginning.
