In January-November 2021 the production of all types of livestock products decreased in Ukraine. This is evidenced by the data published by the State Statistics Service, reports ProAgro Group.
Production of eggs decreased most of all: compared to the same period in 2020, it fell by 13.5%, amounting to 13112.4 million pieces. At the same time, the greatest reduction occurred on industrial enterprises – by 22.9%, while in households – by 2.3%.
Meanwhile, industrial enterprises have slightly increased the production of live weight livestock – it amounted to 2097 thousand tons for 11 months of the current year, which is 0.7% more than last year. But in general, this type of production during the reporting period decreased by 1.7% to 2,9697 thousand tons at the expense of household farms, which produced 6.9% fewer animals compared to January-November 2020.
As for milk production, in the reporting period it was reduced in all categories of farms: in industrial – by 0.3%, in private – by 8.1%. Overall, in January-November this year there were produced 8153.8 thousand tons of milk, which is 5.8% less than in the same period of 2020.
