Veterinary services have gone up 5% since the beginning of 2022

Services for laboratory tests and clinical examination of animals, which provide public institutions, have risen by 5% since the beginning of 2022. This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine.

As noted, the reason for the increase of the cost – an increase in the cost of living from January 1, 2022 to 2393 UAH. (from 2270 UAH in 2021).

After signing the order of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine instead of fixed prices introduced coefficients, which are multiplied by the cost of living (as of January 1 of the year).

The transition to the new system increased the cost of diagnostic tests required for pigs during the preventive quarantine before/after relocation by 66% and the clinical examination by 19-283% depending on the batch of animals.

Although the living wage will be increased twice more during 2022, the cost of services provided by state facilities – veterinary hospitals and laboratories – will not change until January 1, 2023.
