During January-October 2021 the total volume of fish and other living aquatic resources caught by enterprises of the fishing industry of Ukraine amounted to 53 451 tons, ProAgro Group reports with reference to the information of the State Fish Agency.
In particular, the commercial catch in fishery waters and on the continental shelf of Ukraine amounted to 22,629 tons.
Thus, in the Black Sea lymans 107 tons of fish and other aquatic resources were caught (+116.3% compared to January-October 2020), in the Dnieper-Bug estuary – 1 157 tons (+53.7%), in the Danube – 504 tons (+50.4%), in reservoirs of the Dnieper – 9 357 tons (+14.4%), in other bodies of water – 110 tons (+36.8%).
At the same time, commercial fishermen caught 7,660 tons of fish and other aquatic bioresources in the Black Sea, 2,956 tons – in the Azov Sea and 778 tons – in the lower reaches of the Dniester River.
