On November 2, with the participation of the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Development and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky the working group on apiculture development held an online meeting, reports ProAgro Group.
“The development of beekeeping is a topical issue as Ukraine is one of the leading producers and exporters of honey in the world. Therefore, it is important for us to work out constructive approaches to solving the urgent problems of beekeeping” – said Taras Vysotsky.
He added that the Ministry acts as a platform for discussion in the expert community to discuss the development of beekeeping and appropriate solutions. Therefore, it is important to receive proposals from members of the working group from all regions of Ukraine and conduct their detailed consideration.
Also during the meeting, key issues in the field of beekeeping were discussed, in particular with regard to the legal regulation of breeding in beekeeping and a special budget subsidy for bee families in 2021.
