NABU conducts searches at Minister’s of Economy home

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, November 3, conducts searches in the house of Oleksiy Lyubchenko – Minister of Economy, who resigned only yesterday, November 2.

This is reported by ProAgro Group, citing information of Babel.

The search is conducted as part of the investigation of a factual case (suspicion has not been announced to anyone) on the abuse of power (Article 364 of the Criminal Code). No other details are available yet.

On November 2, Lyubchenko tendered his resignation, now the parliament must approve it. Yuliya Sviridenko, deputy head for economic issues in the Office of the President, may be appointed to replace him.
