According to information from the regions, in particular from the elevators located in the temporarily occupied territories, it has already been recorded that about half a million tons of grain have been stolen. This is happening in all temporarily occupied regions – Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Donetsk regions. About this on air of the TV channel ICTV said the first deputy minister of agricultural policy Taras Vysotsky, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the ministry.
According to him, the grain is either sent to the territory of Russia, primarily from Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, or on the territory of the Crimea, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
According to Taras Vysotsky, the Russians will not disdain to take away the new harvest from the Ukrainian farmers.
According to him, there are several options how to resume the export of Ukrainian grain through our sea ports. One of them is military convoys, which are often used in international practice. For example, the military escorts cargoes near the coast of Somalia, where there is a high risk of pirate attacks.
“Another factor is providing enough anti-ship weapons that can be deployed and guarantee a repulse to the Russian navy,” Taras Vysotsky summarized.
