In September 2021 the index of consumer sentiment was 69.1, which is 4.5 points lower than in August. Such conclusions of the monthly monitoring released Info Sapiens, reports ProAgro Group.
The index decreased to the level of the corresponding period of the previous year because of more pessimistic economic expectations of the citizens due to the news about the new wave of COVID-19. Meanwhile, the index of inflation expectations in September 2021 amounted to 190.3, which is by 3.5 points higher than in the same period last year.
It should be noted that, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, consumer price inflation amounted to 7.5% from the beginning of the year and 11% compared with September 2020. At the same time, the increase in food prices was much more noticeable. Thus, compared with September 2020, this year’s increase in price amounted to 14.3%.
