Verkhovna Rada registered bill 7548, which provides exemption from import duty on goods used to store grain.
As reported by “ProAgro Group” with reference to Elevatorist.com bill proposes to amend Section XXI “Final and Transitional Provisions” of the Customs Code of Ukraine, which provides for an exemption from import duty on products and equipment for storage, transportation, loading and unloading of grain and / or oilseeds within 30 days from the date of termination of martial law in Ukraine.
In particular, this applies to such categories:
polymeric sleeves and bags of at least 0.8 cubic meters for the storage of agricultural products;
trailers and semi-trailers with self-loading or self-unloading for transportation of agricultural products.
Recall, given the rate of grain exports, which is currently quite problematic due to the blocking of seaports, the lack of storage capacity until the end of October could be from 10 to 15 million tons of storage.
