Roman Leshchenko, the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, has not appeared at sessions of the Cabinet of Ministers, at meetings, at official events since the new year, and also has an unspoken ban on visiting the President’s Office, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to LegalHub.
“Leshchenko just pissed off both Zelensky himself and the management of the OP. Instead of him, his deputies – Taras Vysotski and Taras Klyuva – go to work and generally “in public,” said a source in the presidential office.
According to the source, Leshchenko is the first candidate for dismissal in April-May, when the president returns to personnel matters.
Even last year there were rumors that Zelensky was extremely unhappy that Leshchenko had failed the project to create an irrigation system in the Mykolayiv, Kherson and Odessa regions. Already in August, Leshchenko’s replacement with a new minister was discussed with Prime Minister Denis Shmigal and could have taken place in September.
