Ministry of Agrarian Policy has developed a program of state support for the agro-industrial complex in 2022

Soon Verkhovna Rada will start reviewing the budget for the next year, therefore the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has prepared a program of state support for agriculture and presented a concept with the list of main directions.

It is planned to allocate 8 billion UAH for the development of agroindustrial complex in 2022, 4,6 billion of which will be directed to the support of the agrarians, which is 100 million more than it was envisaged in 2021. However, the final amount of state aid will be known after the vote for the budget for 2022, ProAgro Group reports this citing Agropolit.com.

The 2022 state aid program contains 16 provisions. Among the key ones:

  • Partial compensation for the cost of farm equipment;
  • Financial support for the agro-industrial complex through cheaper loans;
  • Financial support for the development of horticulture, viticulture and hop growing;
  • Financial support for the development of farms in 2022 (subsidy per unit of cultivated land, subsidy for keeping cows);
  • State support for the development of cattle breeding and processing of agricultural products (reimbursement of the cost of purchased breeding animals, bees, sperm and embryos);
  • State support for horticulture (labor-intensive industries).

Recall that the state support of agriculture in 2021 was paid to farmers in the amount of 1 551 mln UAH out of 4.5 bln envisaged in the budget. This is evidenced by data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, collected from public sources.
