The Ministry of Agrarian Policy together with representatives of banking institutions held a joint meeting on the situation with credit financing of agricultural producers. This is reported by the ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the Ministry.
As First Deputy Minister Taras Vysotsky said, the Government has decided to issue additional 3 390 million portfolio guarantees to four state-owned banks. Thus, on May 31 the crediting of the sowing campaign under the program “Affordable credits 5-7-9” will be completed and the results on its effectiveness will be summarized. In total during the three months more than 10 thousand agrarians received financing for more than 30 billion UAH.
“In addition, we have already prepared a plan for June-August on the further priorities in the affordable financing of the farmers. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy has a number of developments in the field of crediting of agricultural products processing industry. So, we have already initiated amendments to the Decree №723 in order to expand the list of those who can receive loans under state guarantees to include processing companies in this list, “- said Taras Vysotsky.
