Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is initiating a program of economic patriotism, which envisages targeted support for certain sectors of the economy, a reduction of the tax burden on entrepreneurs, restrictions on inspections and the creation of incentives to attract funds from the population into business and the banking system.
The head of state announced this in an address to the citizens, reports “ProAgro Group.
As the president noted, at a time when the Ukrainian military defends the country, other citizens must work, invest money in the economy of the state, including to ensure the financing of the army.
“A patriot is one who fights the enemy for his land. And one who invests in it with money and creates jobs on it. That’s why we’re launching an economic patriotism program. These are additional incentives to localize our production. Targeted programs to support certain industries,” said Zelenskyy.
According to him, the program of economic patriotism involves reducing the tax burden on businesses, limiting inspections, creating incentives to attract people’s funds in business and the banking system. In addition, thanks to this program it is planned to reduce VAT on gasoline and diesel, which will help reduce fuel prices.
