Russia is looking for a reason to disrupt the “grain initiative”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia is preparing the ground for attempts to disrupt the “grain initiative”, ProAgro Group reports.

“Moscow made another false statement about a very important achievement of Ukraine and our partners – the resumption of our maritime grain exports. It is obvious that Russia is preparing the ground to try to disrupt the “grain initiative”, Zelensky said in an evening video address yesterday.

The President stressed that export statistics are transparent and available to the international community.

“More than 5 million tons of agricultural products were exported from our three ports. 232 vessels have left. If we take only African countries, our agricultural products have already been exported to Algeria, Ethiopia, Egypt, Libya, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia,” Zelenskyy said.

On September 26, during a meeting on the progress of seasonal field work in Russia, Putin again said that grain from Ukraine allegedly continues to bypass the poorest countries, and the West is “provoking a food crisis.” According to him, by September 23, only 4 out of 203 ships that exported Ukrainian grain within the framework of the “grain initiative” went to needy regions.
