Cyber-specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine have exposed a large-scale illegal scheme in the State Consumer Service of Ukraine. The management of this structure was trying to create a controlled enterprise, which in 2022 would have illegally “appropriated” more than 650 million hryvnias from the state budget, reports “ProAgro Group” referring to the information of the SSU.
Thanks to the proactive work of the SSU, the criminal intentions were prevented, and the involved individuals have already been reported as suspects. Among them are two officials of category “A”, belonging to the highest corps of civil service in Ukraine:
- acting Chairman of the State Consumer Service;
- deputy chairman;
- director of the financial department;
- head of the public procurement sector;
- acting director of one of the state enterprises;
- the head of a private company.
The above-mentioned officials wanted to create an enterprise under their control, whose main task was to participate in tender procedures. Through this structure, the officials planned to use budgetary funds, which the government had allocated for the informatization of the State Consumer Service in 2022. According to preliminary data, we are talking about 680 million. To do this, they entered into an agreement, attracted other accomplices, distributed the roles and agreed on the stages of the crime.
