The Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” appealed to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal with a request to extend the deferral of mobilization for another 2 months for the smooth operation of agricultural enterprises.
According to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Viktor Kantsurak, the prolongation of the postponement is a necessary step to ensure food security of the state.
“Reservation of employees of enterprises, institutions and organizations of the agro-industrial complex liable for military service is extremely important for the completion of agricultural field works. In November, the postponement of the draft will be completed in accordance with the orders issued in May 2022 and March-April 2022. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy supports the agricultural sector and considers it necessary to prolong the already issued reservations until the adoption of the necessary draft law,” Viktor Kantsurak emphasized.
The adoption of the government draft law on amendments to the Law of Ukraine No. 7687 “On mobilization training and mobilization” regarding the reservation of persons liable for military service for the period of mobilization for wartime is necessary and extremely important. Representatives of the agricultural sector ask the government to support the repeated extension of the deferral of mobilization for two months for the period of development and approval of the relevant legislation and regulation of the updated reservation procedure.
