Ukraine has received a reply from the Chinese government to a letter about restructuring the loan to the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine from the Chinese Eximbank. The Chinese side proposed to resolve this issue at the level of “appropriate authorities.”
This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to “Economic truth.”
The Ministry stressed that the Ukrainian side will insist on the restructuring.
The agency recalled that according to the loan agreement between the SFGC and Eximbank China repayment occurs every six months: January 21 and July 21. The Ministry of Finance made an advance payment of 2.5bn UAH instead of the State Food and Grain Corporation.
The ministry also noted that the 2022 budget includes sufficient funds for repayment of the loan to State Food and Grain Corporation – 6.9bn UAH.
