Ukraine presented the first results of the international application of NCTS at a meeting of the EU-CTC working group on joint transit and simplification of formalities in trade in goods in Brussels.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the State Customs Service.
It is noted that this meeting was the first in which Ukraine took part as a full member of the Convention on the Common Transit Procedure, and not as an observer.
The State Customs Service noted that the number of joint transit operations at the beginning of October 2022 was not large, in particular due to the need to update the general guarantees already used by companies of the countries parties to the Convention.
At the same time, the relevant agency noted, the number of movements to and from Ukraine since the beginning of the month is approaching 200, which is a fairly high indicator for the country to start the international application of the joint transit procedure.
Most declarations with the customs of destination in Ukraine in the first half of October 2022 were issued by Poland and the Baltic countries.
