Today, on May 12, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Oleksandr Gaidu, an MP of the People’s Servant faction, as the new Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.
The relevant decision was voted for by 287 people’s deputies, ProAgro Group reports.
Until now, Alexander Gaidu headed the Subcommittee on Innovation and Infrastructure in the Agro-Industrial Complex.
Gaidu graduated from Odessa State Economic University (specialty “Management and Entrepreneurship”), Odessa National University named after I. I. Mechnikov (specialty “Jurisprudence”). Defended his dissertation on the specialty “Mechanisms of Public Administration”. Candidate of Sciences in Public Administration.
In 2011-2017 he worked as the executive director of an industrial enterprise in Mykolayiv, former head of the Marine Specialized Port “Nika-Tera”.
In 2019 he was elected a people’s deputy of Ukraine of the ninth convocation. A member of the deputy faction of the political party “Servant of the People”.
