The Parliament upheld the bill No 3205-2 on the Fund of Partial Guaranteeing of Agricultural Credits. 262 MPs voted for it.
The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko wrote about this in his Telegram channel, reports ProAgro Group.
“Today we have another major victory for the agrarians – 262 MPs have just supported the bill number 3205-2, which creates the Fund of partial guarantee of loans in agriculture. Finally, bank lending for small farmers will become easier and more accessible,” said the Minister.
He noted that the land market won’t exist without accessible and transparent mechanisms of financing for agricultural producers. Without this, full-fledged competition in the market is impossible.
The Fund will provide guarantees of up to 50% of the unpaid principal amount and guarantees for the term of the loan agreement, but no more than 10 years.
