As of 11.08.2021 7.3 million hectares or 94% of the forecast of winter crops have been sown. This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Leaders in the rate of sowing of winter crops are agrarians of Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lugansk, Sumy, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy oblasts, which have completed the sowing of winter crops.
6.2 million hectares of wheat have been sown, which is 94% of the forecast. Barley is sown on 924 thousand hectares, or 91% of the forecast. 158 thousand hectares of rye were sown, or 99% of the forecast.
In addition, 1 million hectares of winter rape are sown in Ukraine, which is 99% of the forecast. Agrarians of 19 regions have fully completed the sowing of rape, and Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts have exceeded the forecast.
