Enterprises of the State Forestry Agency of Ukraine planted about 240 million trees in 2021. This was stated by the chairman of the State Forestry Agency Yuriy Bolokhovets, reports ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the press service of the agency.
“This year, enterprises that are subordinate to the State Forestry Agency of Ukraine, planted 240 million seedlings and saplings. In addition, on lands of other forest users about 9 million tree plants were planted, “- said the official.
The leader in planting is Polissya. Nearly 51 million seedlings have been planted in Zhytomyr region. In Volyn – 23,3 million seedlings. 29.5 million seedlings were planted in Rivne region. 15.6 million seedlings were planted in Chernigiv region.
In total, 66.5 million seedlings have been planted in the forest-steppe areas, 21.3 million in the steppe zones and 30.3 million in the Carpathians.
According to the plan of the State Forestry Agency, in 2022, foresters will plant about 300 million seedlings.
