A tanker in Turkey blocked the Bosphorus Strait for a while because of an accident

The tanker, from which the anchor dropped out, blocked the movement of ships and boats in the Bosphorus Strait off the coast of Istanbul.

It is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the message of the General Directorate of Coastal Security of Turkey.

The incident occurred yesterday, December 21, with the Turkish tanker USICHEM, which was carrying sunflower oil. It was heading south through the Bosphorus Strait. The ship stopped because its anchor fell out and blocked the movement of other ships.

However, shipping was quickly restored: on the same day, the tanker was towed to a safe zone.
