The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has canceled a ban on local roads for heavy vehicles. Previously, the movement of vehicles with an axle load over 7 tons or with an actual weight of over 24 tons was prohibited on local roads.
This was announced during the government meeting on February 9, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to Elevatorist.com.
Also the Cabinet of Ministers allowed the regional state administrations to set the permissible parameters of the actual weight and axle load within the permitted load on the road surface.
Rates of tolls for public roads for vehicles, whose weight and/or dimensions parameters exceed the norm, were doubled.
Now the regulation on the dimensions and weight parameters of heavy vehicles transporting goods on public roads are in accordance with EU norms.
