As of yesterday special vessels of State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine surveyed more than 50% of the sea corridor between the western border of the area of illegal sea exercises of the Russian Federation and the south-eastern edge of the Dniester bank. Depths were confirmed within 15-22 meters, and therefore the recommendations for ships to safely enter the ports of the Gulf of Odessa remain in force.

“We continue to do everything to prevent any obstacles for navigation and calling at Ukrainian ports. Our main task is to ensure the safety of ships’ passage and not to destabilize the situation. Commercial vessels received recommendations in advance and accepted them, which means that the Black Sea ports operate normally,” said Yuriy Vaskov, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The vast majority of vessels use the corridor and adhere to the recommended depth isobath of 20 m to connect with Ukrainian ports, which operate in normal mode.
