German state-owned railway company Deutsche Bahn has said that it plans to transport grain by freight trains from Ukraine to German ports. This is reported by ProAgro Group, citing Reuters.
Deutsche Bahn said that it will transform the network, created for the transportation of humanitarian aid, to deliver grain from Ukraine to the German ports of Rostock, Hamburg and Brake.
The railway operator plans to run several trains a week, and much of the grain will be transported through Romania and Poland.
However, it cannot yet specify how much grain it will be able to transport.
