Administration of the Sea Ports of Ukraine has completed dredging of the 1st bucket of the water area of Sukhiy estuary down to 15 meters. This will provide an unhindered access of ships of Panamax type with deadweight up to 100 thousand tons and, consequently, will increase the volume of cargo handling at the Chornomorsk port.
This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
It is noted that the dredging is part of the Agreement on Cooperation for the implementation of interdependent projects between the ASPU and LLC “Risoil Terminal”.
The Administration of the Sea Ports of Ukraine was expected to dredge the approaches to the pier in the third stage of construction of the water area of the 1st ladle of Sukhiy Liman, achieving a depth of 15 meters.
As reported, during 2021 ASPU almost restored dimensions of the navigable gauge on the Dnieper. Now the dimensions of the navigable part of the main river artery of Ukraine fully correspond to the passport dimensions.
