During 28 days of September, 2 728 thousand tons of grain cargoes were transported for export by rail.
This was discussed during a meeting with representatives of the agrarian market on September 29, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to Rail.insider.
According to Valery Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Commercial Department of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, since the beginning of September, 808 thousand tons have been transported for export through the western border crossings. The leaders in the transfer of cars are Izov (Poland), Batovo (Hungary) and Yagodin (Poland). At the same time, 1 920 thousand tons of grain was transported for export through seaports.
“Thanks to the opening of the “grain corridor”, the transportation of grain for export by rail has significantly increased, we can say twice,” – the representative of UZ said.
He also expressed hope that by the end of September about 3 million tons of grain will be transported for export by rail.
In addition, Valery Tkachev spoke about the positive dynamics of grain loading. In particular, recently this figure has been consistently exceeding 100 thousand tons per day. In general, for 28 days of September, 2 634 thousand tons were loaded, which is 27.9% of the total figure, which reached 9 429 thousand tons.
