Last week, exports through the “grain corridor” increased by 39%

During the 18th week of operation of the “grain corridor” from November 28 to December 4, 2022, 838.1 thousand tons of agro-industrial products were exported through the seaports of Odesa region, which is 39% more than shipment through this channel a week ago.

This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club.

At the same time, the number of ships that were loaded during this week was 23, which is 5 units more than the previous week. In the recent period, there is a tendency to use vessels of larger tonnage, which allows faster inspection and, accordingly, export more products from Ukraine.

The largest export volumes during the 18th week of work were

corn (56% of exports for this period)
wheat (33%);
sunflower cake (6%).

Ukrainian products went to the countries of Asia (China, Turkey, Israel and others), Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal and others) and Africa (Egypt, Ethiopia, Algeria).

In total, from the beginning of the “grain corridor” from August 1 to December 4, 2022, 13 million tons of agricultural products were exported.
