Lviv Railway is establishing close ties with shippers to promptly solve the problematic issues of transportation.
Yuriy Ishchuk, the head of the commercial department of the Lviv railroad, told about it, reports “ProAgro Group” referring to AgroTimes.
In addition, he said, meetings are held at the level of local authorities with the participation of heads of the regional state administration and railroad employees, to jointly solve certain problems.
“Recently there has been a problem related to the traction rolling stock. But since the seasonality of cargo transportation in Ukrainian regions is different, we influence the redistribution process by redeploying a certain number of locomotives, for example, to the Lviv railroad, – said Yuriy Ishchuk.
So, today, where the profile allows, part of cars are transported by American locomotives. Also shunting and mainline locomotives within the railroad are redistributed between the regions where there is demand for it.
