The new stevedoring company Danube Logistics Group has transshipped more than 150 thousand tons of grain cargoes through the ports of Reni and Odesa for three months of work.
The company is also preparing to launch a container terminal in the port of Reni, ProAgro Group reports with reference to Elevatorist.com.
“The complete blocking of the ports of Mykolaiv, Kherson, Mariupol, Berdyansk led to the redistribution of logistics flows of grain exports to the Danube ports. Much later, the ports of Greater Odesa joined the grain initiative. A huge number of specialized specialists remained on the sidelines. Having understood the situation, we realized that it is important not to stop and continue to develop the transport potential of Ukraine where it is possible today,” said Ivan Niyakyi, Director of Danube Logistics Group.
He noted that in the port of Reni the company received the status of a port operator, established the loading of river and sea fleet and the whole range of related services (weighing, laboratory, expedition, dispatching of cars and fleet).
“The construction of floor storage warehouses is about to begin. Now we are working on the launch of the container terminal in Reni”, – added Ivan Nyakyi.
The company also carries out transshipment through the terminals of the port of Odesa within the “grain corridor”.
