Occupiers start clearing Mariupol port entrance to export stolen grain and metal

Russian occupiers in Mariupol have launched a towing crane to clean the dry channel and water area of the port, which will allow them to remove stolen Ukrainian grain and metal by ships.

This was reported by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to “Economic truth.”

According to him, electricity was separately supplied from the Mariupol district and the launch of port cranes continues. Thus, in the first decade of July, the port may be ready to receive cargo and shipment of looted Ukrainian grain and metal through the main deep-water channel.

The cargoes, Andryushchenko said, are planned to be shipped directly through Syria.

It should be noted that Russian occupiers have been trying since May to partially restore the port in occupied Mariupol, which contains Ukrainian metal and grain.

First, the occupiers unblocked the old port gates. Given the depth of about 3.5 m, river-going vessels with a shallow draft can enter there. However Russian vessels can not enter the port until the water area of the port is cleared from the sunken sea transport. According to Barsky, the occupants can clear 3-4 berths from 18. To do this, the enemy needed electricity to be able to use the port cranes.
