As evidenced by operational data of the main control room of the Odessa branch of SE “Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine”, the first month of the year the port completed with a cargo turnover of 1.87 million tons, which is 215.2 thousand tons or 13% higher than in January 2021.
In this case, the volume of transshipment of dry cargo through the port berths was fixed at 1.69 million tons (+10.9% compared to January 2021), transshipment of liquid cargo is 177.6 thousand tons (+ 37.8%), says “ProAgro Group” with reference to ASPU.
The dynamics of transshipments of the main positions in the nomenclature of the last month is as follows:
- grain cargo: 725.6 thousand tons (+ 39.3% compared to January 2021);
- metal products: 343.2 thou. tons (- 34%);
- containers: 54,690 TEU (+20.5%);
- oil and oil products: 158.3 thou. tons (+ 34.9%).
Cargo transshipment in Odessa Sea Port is carried out at 16 terminals. Ten of them handle grain, metal products, general and tare cargoes; two specialize in container cargoes; two specialize in transshipment of edible oils. All terminals are operated by private companies with the status of port operators.
