Next week auctions will be held for the distribution of grain-carriers by “Transport Logistics Center” branch of “Ukrzaliznytsia” during the period from February 1 to 5.
This was announced by the deputy director of the department of commercial work of the company, Valeriy Tkachov, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to Rail.insider.
The official said that monthly route auctions were held on January 17 and 18, with the delivery of grain carriers in February. There was very low activity. Thus, the percentage of sold cars amounted to 22.2% on the 17th of January (1500 of 6750 grain carriers were sold), and on the 18th of January – 15.4% (900 out of 5850 cars were purchased). The average rate was low – 2030 UAH and 2027 UAH respectively.
According to Valeriy Tkachov, on January 24 UZ will auction route dispatches with supply on February 1-5. The next day the auctions for group dispatches during the same period without distribution of load by polygons are to be held.
As for the initial rate at the bidding, the route consignments will cost from 2000 UAH per day for one car, and the price of group consignments will grow up to 2100 UAH. As the official noted, this is due to the high percentage of utilization (usage) of Ukrzaliznytsia grain cars – more than 80%.
