Ukraine and Poland agree to build a pipeline to transport oil

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland, as well as the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland have signed a quadripartite memorandum on the project of cross-border pipeline through which Ukrainian vegetable oil will be transported to the port of Gdansk.

According to “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in the near future Ukraine and Poland will create a working group, whose goal will be to develop the technical specifications and conditions for the construction of the pipeline and two terminals.

“For the last six months we have been actively working on increasing the volume of exports of domestic agricultural products through common border crossings with the Polish Republic. We are also working to reduce queues at the Ukrainian-Polish border”, – said Minister of Agrarian Policy Nikolay Solskyy.

The Ministry emphasizes that before the war Ukrainian sunflower oil was exported to 107 countries around the world, and its largest consumers are in Europe (37%), Southeast Asia (29%) and Asia (14.9%).
