Ukraine is working on joining ports of Mykolaiv region to the “grain deal”

Despite Russia’s dissatisfaction, the “grain deal” has been extended for another 120 days, and now Ukraine is making efforts to extend it to the Mykolaiv region. This was stated by the head of the parliamentary faction “Servant of the People”, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, David Arakhamia, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“For us, this (accession of Mykolaiv region to the agreement – ed.) is very important, because before the war Mykolaiv region accounted for about 35-40% of grain transshipment. We hope that we will “finish” this process, and Mykolaiv region will also be included in the agreement,” the politician stressed.

He noted that in the issue of the “grain deal” Russia got into a very difficult situation, when it gave many promises to different countries, and then tried to stop the corridor. Feeling pressure, primarily from Turkey and the UN, Moscow was forced to “backtrack”, because its actions looked very indecent.
